Brief description : The aim is to revise the "Study on future action requirements, specifically in the area of ​​securing skilled workers at the Kodersdorf site – flexible mobility of employees and trainees – connection to public transport." Findings obtained will be reviewed and realigned. Additionally, the use of future-oriented forms of mobility will be examined.

Late Shift 2020 – Company Open Day

Brief description : This project showcases workplaces, work environments, and working conditions, presenting various professions and their career paths firsthand, usually by the professionals themselves. The focus is on STEM professions, but other career paths are also included.
In 2020, in addition to Görlitz, Weißwasser, Zittau, and, new this year, Ebersbach-Neugersdorf, the format will be established in other surrounding municipalities throughout the Görlitz district.

WERK.STADT.CAMP

Brief description : The WERK.STADT.CAMP project aims to create qualification opportunities for craftspeople by offering seminars on specific topics. In addition to these opportunities, an intergenerational workshop will foster interest in skilled trades. Young people will be inspired to pursue a career in the trades and learn from experienced craftspeople. During the two-day project, the Waidhaus will be transformed into an open meeting place for all interested parties, offering a fresh perspective on the trades. WERK.STADT.CAMP is one of the few projects in the district dedicated to promoting skilled trades.

Development of a digital solution to improve the counselling processes for the long-term unemployed during their transition to the labor and skilled worker market

Brief description : The aim of this project is to use a digital solution to provide impetus for simplifying and improving the transition of the long-term unemployed into the labor and skilled labor market. Essentially, it is about addressing the increasingly entrenched group of long-term unemployed in a different way, thereby enabling new transitions. This should open up a portion of this group to the skilled labor market.

Continuation of the cooperation project "Returnee Exchange"

Brief description : The towns of Ebersbach and Neugersdorf are jointly hosting their fourth annual "Returning Residents Fair" between Christmas and New Year's 2020. The event aims to help companies fill their vacancies and promote a positive image of the local job market. In a festive atmosphere, visitors and companies can meet and discuss specific job openings and career opportunities in a relaxed setting. Representatives from the towns will also be available to provide information on housing, childcare, and schools. This event builds on the success of previous "Returning Residents Fairs" held between 2017 and 2019, with the goal of establishing the format as a long-term initiative.

Target group : Those wishing to return to the area and future new residents; job changers and job seekers.
